::My favorite spot for Ajaruli Kachapuri, the traditional dish combining cheese topped with an egg in a fresh baked bread boat with butter melting at both ends. You'll mix the egg into the piping hot cheese to completely cook the dish. Though that's my go-to dish at Sigulda, I've enjoyed everything I've ordered here, and the staff cooking for and serving guests are gems. They don't yet have a menu with English to explain the dishes, so it's best to come prepared with some idea of what to order. They have the usual: –— lobiani (bread wrapped around an herb flavored bean mix), — khachapuri (the regular kind, bread wrapped around cheese), — pizza (the typical Georgian version finished with a generous drizzle of mayonnaise, which you can request to be left off), — sosisi (mostly like hot dogs), — kababi (ground meat combined with herbs and grilled, very tasty), — kitri da pomidori (sliced cucumber and tomatoes), — mchadi (fried corn meal accompaniment, which I prefer over bread), — — puri (sliced bread), and so forth. . . . That'll get you started.
