We rested in the Historical Sanatorium Abkhazia from July 3 to 12, 2021. We are very glad that we have chosen this particular hotel. Convenient location, about a hundred meters to the sea, all attractions are within walking distance. We met very well, settled in immediately, did not wait 14 hours. The room is clean, cleaning every day, white linens and towels. Three meals a day, varied, like in a sanatorium. Thank you very much for your warm welcome. Katerina and Valentina.

The sanatorium is located in a good location, close to the sea, in the center of the city. There are many coffee shops and canteens nearby. The sanatorium has 3 meals a day: Breakfast - porridge, pancakes, scrambled eggs, tea, coffee. Lunch: soup, 2 course (buckwheat, mashed potatoes, pasta) and cutlet, meat, fish on Thursdays, salad and drinks. Dinner: main course, sweets and drinks. The food is delicious, portions so as not to overeat. The rooms are normal (we took an economy bathroom on the floor), 2 beds, a fan in the room. Toilet paper is reported, but it is better to have a spare in the room. Bed linen is old but clean, changed every 3 days. The administrator is a nice and smiling girl. During their rest period we faced an unpleasant situation from the security guard. We were hit by a hurricane and our roof was leaking. Everything was wet (walls, on the floor up to 4 cm water depth). We woke up at 23.30 because of what was dripping from the ceiling onto the bed. Approached the guard and said that it was flowing. He sat in the hall and drank wine as a guest. He gave us a key to 25 rooms, after 3 minutes he took it back. He said that in another room it was flowing stronger than ours. We approached again, he could not connect words and lay down on the sofa hall, we went to the room When we woke up at 5 in the morning, the whole floor was in water (2-4cm depth). I had to pack my things and go to the hall. The guard slept in the hall. At 9 o'clock the administrator came and gave us the keys to the 9th room (2nd floor) and asked why we hadn’t moved there earlier, we explained everything as it was. The security guard said (the one that was drunk, he was there alone) "that we refused to move." That spoiled our mood because we definitely did not refuse the offered room. We moved to the 2nd floor. Suite room (air conditioning, bathroom in the room, brand new bedding and snow-white). A day later, at 8.39, the maid knocked on us and told us to move to our room (6 on the 1st floor) and take our used bedding. We were determined to stay in this room for the day because we had to leave in the evening, but the point is to endure everything in a couple of hours !. We went downstairs and the administrator told us to leave room 9 (we all understand, we understand that they are not to blame for the weather, that it is not their fault that someone has already booked the room and other nuances), but after the night we did not sleep because of the security guard who could not provide us with a room due to lack of sobriety and loss of mind. It was also finished off by the fact that they offered to move to the same room where we were, which did not dry out for 1 night and there was a smell of dampness. Bottom line, we left the hotel a day early, bought plane tickets and left the country.

The double rooms are very cramped and unkempt and stuffy. Air conditioners do not work everywhere and do not seem to be cleaned. It is impossible to ventilate by opening the window with the door closed. The toilets smell like feces, smell and in the rooms. The pillow is stuffed with "boiled potatoes". The mattress consists of springs upholstered in thin material. The bed linen is old. Everything creaks. The bed is a Procrustean bed. They are fed at 3 and a minus. Wi-Fi only in corridors and single rooms (if you're lucky). The smell of smoking haunts everywhere.
