::A Brief History of the Establishment of Crystal Success โฅ ๏ธ In 1995, a local non-profit organization, the Charitable Humanitarian Center "Abkhazia", โโwas established by IDPs from Abkhazia, which launched a micro-lending pilot program in August 1998 with a loan capital of just $ 10,000. Based on the recommendation of the donors and the International Rating Agency, in 2004 the Center "Abkhazia" separated the microfinance program into a separate unit, independent of other charitable and social projects. This is how the Crystal Foundation has been established since April 2004. In 2007, in accordance with the requirements of the new Law on Microfinance Organizations, the Crystal Fund was transformed into a JSC Microfinance Organization Crystal and registered by the National Bank of Georgia. In October 2011, the American investment bank Developing World Markets (DWM) became the first institutional investor and shareholder in Miso Crystal.
